More good news from Ski-Doo!

Following the debut success of the Ski-Doo Million Dollar Club Support Program, BRP has announced that the program will run again in 2009/10.  While details are not yet available, this upfront notice offers OFSC clubs the opportunity to start planning early to raise even more dollars than last season…and that total just went up again!

Yes, the OFSC is pleased to report that in May, we received 18 additional $500 cheques for clubs from BRP. This pushes the total value received to date from the Ski-Doo Million Dollar Club Support Program to $114,000. Remember, this is found money that clubs did not expect to receive from last season, and it’s without a doubt one of the easiest and most effective fundraisers available to clubs.
 

So what were the 2008/09 results for Canada?

• 74% of Canadian clubs that were registered for the program received a cheque from BRP and its dealers.
• 59 clubs received the maximum of $1,500 cash
• 40% of snowmobilers who saw the Ski-Doo Million Dollar Club Support Program ad filled out the certificate.
• 12% of Canadian snowmobilers participated.
 

And the 2008/09 results for Ontario?

• A total of 207 OFSC clubs received support through the program
   (at almost 90% of all OFSC clubs, this is the highest participation rate in Canada).
• 15 clubs received the maximum of $1,500 (25% of the Canadian total).
• The New Dundee Snowmobile Club (D5) won a 2009 Ski-Doo Special Edition Anniversary MX Z snowmobile ($12,000 value).
• $93,000 in cash received by OFSC clubs to date.
• OFSC clubs received $9,000 in Ski-Doo Parts, Accessories and Clothing.
 

With considerably more lead-time and a year of learning experience with the program under our belt, we should be able to considerably increase the dollar amount contributed to OFSC clubs by Ski-Doo for the 2009/10 season.
