OFSC Debuts New Snowmobilers’ Clubhouse at the Toronto International Snowmobile, ATV and Powersports Show: October 16 – 18, 2009

The snowmobiling industry has the opportunity to gather under one roof this autumn, thanks to a decision made by the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) this past weekend.

The OFSC Board of Governors approved a multi-year proposal successfully negotiated by the OFSC with the Toronto International Snowmobile, ATV and Powersports Show to host a special “Snowmobilers’ Clubhouse” at its annual event, taking place this fall from October 16 to 18. The OFSC will bring a strong corporate presence to this Snowmobilers’ Clubhouse, with displays immediately inside the show’s main entrance. Here, the OFSC will highlight its various programs, including permit sales, partnerships, volunteers, safety and environment.  Classrooms for OFSC Driver Training courses will also be located at the show.

“With this decision, the OFSC can cover more bases. At the Toronto International Snowmobile, ATV and Powersports Show, we can stand united with the industry and reinforce our relationship with thousands of existing snowmobilers, many of whom are our permit members,” commented OFSC Executive Director Paul Shaughnessy.

“Meanwhile, we can also pursue our other objectives of increasing participation and helping to grow the industry by taking our Go Snowmobiling Campaign to non-traditional shows.”

Under the new arrangement, the Toronto International Snowmobile, ATV and Powersports Show is dedicating 30,000 sq. ft. of the International Centre’s Hall 4 to uniquely position organized snowmobiling within the overall show. The OFSC will work closely with show promoters to ensure that the Snowmobilers’ Clubhouse has the upscale look and feel requested by the snowmobiling community.

The OFSC is inviting OFSC districts, the four OEM’s and the tourism sector to share the new Snowmobilers’ Clubhouse. The Snowmobilers’ Clubhouse also provides new opportunities for other snowmobile industry stakeholders to exhibit in this snowmobiling-focused hall with the OFSC.
