Go Snowmobiling Reaches 1 Million Readers in 30 Communities

Posted: January 20, 2009

As part of the Go Snowmobiling strategy to introduce new participants to sledding, the OFSC recently distributed an 8-page insert to targeted households in 30 Ontario communities, primarily on the periphery of the GTA and along the 401 corridor. The Go Snowmobiling insert was home-delivered during Get Ready to Go Snowmobiling Week in Metro Toronto newspapers owned by TorStar, parent company of the Toronto Star.

Intended as an introduction to snowmobiling for urbanites with an identified affinity for the outdoors, the insert welcomed these first timers to try snowmobiling this winter and suggested a variety of easy, close to home ways to get started, including snowmobile hotel packages, rental opportunities and guided tours.

The OFSC thanks our Go Snowmobiling partners who made this insert possible: Digital Video Productions (Snow Goer Canada magazine/Snowmobiler TV), Polaris, Ski-Doo (BRP), Yamaha, Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve, and the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation.
